London is home to some of the best paintballing centres in the country, with staff who are dedicated to making your paintball experience one to remember. Here are 3 of the best, chosen because they all offer something a little different from the rest:
This is the largest and most popular paintballing company in the country. In 2008 alone over 400,000 people visited a Delta Force venue, which the organizers say is more than 10 times the amount of visitors received by any other company. Their "paintball event itinerary" includes a day packed full of games, including Tomb Raider, Zombie's Crypt, Viet Cong Village and more (be aware though that the games sometimes change from venue to venue). Having spent a fortune each year to ensure that their equipment is first-class, you can expect paintballing guns of only the best quality, and body armour to protect you from the sting of a direct hit. For the nervous ones amongst your team, Delta Force boasts an incredible 100% safety record.
Prices: Adults £9.99 for a full day of paintballing, paintballs not included (£6.99 per 100 balls). Kids: all-inclusive Junior Days (including a pizza and paintballs for every player) start from £17.50. See Map.
With London being such a built-up area it's no surprise that indoor paintballing has proved to be such a hit. The Paintball Centre is a step ahead of the competition, having won numerous awards for its indoor facilities and boasting match obstacles which were created by the crème de la crème of Hollywood designers. Your paintball experience will see you competing in 3 different play zones, and the equipment they provide you with is top notch. What's more the paintballs were designed to break on contact which means you won't be covered in welts and bruises the next day (well, maybe just a few).
Prices: start from £35 and do include paintballs. See Map.
UK Paintball has over 45 parks to choose from, including an indoor venue located near London Bridge. For just £14.99 you'll get full day entry, gun hire, camouflage outfit, gas refills and an ammo pack. And if you book online you'll also get 100 free paintballs per player. Not bad eh, but is the venue up to scratch? Well the game zones include 3 different areas- Vietnam Village, Apocalypse London and Super Air ball, which judging by the reviews all sound amazing. The organizers describe Apocalypse London as like "playing the paintball version of 28 days later," and Super Air ball offers minimum protection from your opponents. Learn to duck.
Prices: £14.99 (extra paintballs cost £10 per 100. Smoke grenades £3). See Map.
