Learn to Scuba in a Swimming Pool

If you have ever been interested in scuba diving, but are not quite ready to take the full plunge, the Oyster Diving School are offering one-day classes, where you can dip your toe in the water before deciding whether or not you want to pursue it further.

You can book up until the 30th September 2014. The 45 lesson takes place at the Marshal Street Leisure Centre in Soho, where you can learn in the safety of a swimming pool rather than the cold, unpredictable waters of the ocean.

You'll learn to use and wear all the basic scuba equipment, such as a mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy compensating jacket, scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from, and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply. If you like the experience, you can then sign up to a PADI Diving Certification course with a 15 discount. The course is open to anyone ten years old over.
