Like most people, I imagine that I'm immune to marketing gimmicks. However, when OxyBox 2GO recently opened in Kidlington offering their Chinese takeaway noodles in American style boxes, I was hooked in.
American style Chinese takeaway noodle box
My first foray was the king prawn noodles (£5.90) and my husband went for the beef (£5.40). Having spent a year in both Hong Kong and Singapore plus extensive travel around South East Asia, I'm hard to please when it comes to noodles. They were fresh and authentic with tasty tender meat bursting with flavour. Eaten straight from the box with chopsticks I felt like I should have been in an American movie, working through the night on a law case that would save my innocent client. To top it off, it means you don't have any washing up to do.

OxyBox 2GO also serve up all the Chinese takeaway favourites from crispy aromatic duck pancakes and lemon chicken. You can also create your own favourites by choosing your meat or vegetarian option and mixing with any one of 13 sauces from Kung Po to Thai Green Curry.
The meal deals offer good value for money and the Adam & Eve (2 person set meal at £18) was definitely enough to satisfy three hungry mouths.
I've noticed that they now have some tables outside on the pavement so I'm tempted to stop off for a quick bite to eat one sunny lunchtime.
That's disappointing to hear. I use them regularly for both small orders and have ordered as part of a large group too and never had any problems. Hopefully this was a one off as the food tastes great.
Very disappointed after recommending to a large party to use the Oxy box as all orders were wrong and lots of dishes missing. We phoned oxy back to try and retrieve the missing order but was never delivered or refunded. No apology was given for the mistake.
