Two republicans, one liberal, and a big family reunion. Already you can see sparks fly. Unfortunately these aren't just the cause of faulty Christmas tree lights.

Other Desert Cities ' dysfunctional family gets together over Christmas. This could easily be the setting for a comedy, but it is in fact a high strung political drama that first premiered off Broadway in 2011. Its success brought it to Broadway a few months later, and then made it a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Now at the Old Vic Theatre until the 24th May, watch as a long held family secret is threatened when Brooke decides to publish her memoir. It could destroy everything they hold dear.

Tickets to the show are between £10-£53, and it stars a small cast of five, including, Sinead Cusack, Peter Egan, Claire Higgins, Daniel Lapaine, and Martha Plimpton.
