Orindi's deli is a great little spot for lunch or a quick break from the commotion of Kingston town centre, easily recognisable by the green awning and the funky green tables and chairs outside. Located on the edge of Kingston near Surbiton it's a great place for students at Kingston University (which is just around the corner) as students receive a %10 discount on the already great value for money menu. It's also perfect for office workers in the area that are fed up of pre-made overpriced sandwiches from Sainsbury's.

The menu itself includes a huge selection of sandwiches, breakfasts, jacket potatoes, pasta, omelettes, soup, salads…I could go on. All of which are freshly made right in front of you. There is also a great snack menu for those of you who a are a little less peckish including bowls of olives, fruit, bowls of chips and more. Orindi's also offers a wide selection of smoothies and milkshakes, and of course the usual teas coffees and hot chocolate.

Great prices and deals are on offer every day such as the freshly made sandwiches between £2 and £4 or a meal deal at £3.95. Affordable treats like the scrumptious home made cakes at £1 per slice are well worth a try. Plus there's always the reasonably priced specials board that changes every day if you fancy a change.

Orindi's may look tiny but there is also a cosy downstairs room available. Although I would recommend sitting upstairs if you can, especially if you enjoy people watching as much as me, as the downstairs room is windowless and therefore slightly claustrophobic for some. It also a has the slight feeling of a staff room/store cupboard which may be off putting for some, for me personally I quite like to disappear downstairs to escape the malevolent British weather and curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a book.

Unfortunately on a busy day Orindi's doesn't cater very well for large numbers of people as there is only one toilet and it can feel rather cramped in a full house. Therefore it's perhaps not the best place to bring the parents or a date. However, if you're looking for a lunch break haven, then this is the place; Orindi's is slightly removed for the hustle and bustle of university and office life in the centre of Kingston, yet not so far away as to make it an awkward place to get to.

Open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.30pm, I recommend heading down to Orindi's for breakfast before a hard days grafting in the office to prepare you for the day, or after an early morning lecture to relax and go over your notes. Orindi's is also open on a Saturday from 8.00am to 3.00pm if you fancy heading down for a bite to eat at bite-sized prices after a hard days shopping in Kingston.
