If you're into wine, you'll love the first of Opus's 'source' dinner series. Winemaker Telmo Rodriguez will be at the Cornwall Street restaurant showcasing wines from his Malaga and Alicante vineyards.
Telmo Rodriguez is one of Spain's most talented and prolific winemakers, he is thus celebrating the forgotten wine regions such as Malaga and Alicante, and bringing them to Birmingham for your tasting pleasure.
Farming biodynamically, he plants indigenous varieties, putting some of the lesser known areas back onto the winemaking map.
Wine-connoisseurs of Birmingham will know we have some of the best wines available. Imported, as well as local, Birmingham has the finest pick of wines, as demonstrated by wine merchant's Loki Wines.
Be sure to see fellow wine-lover Phil Innes (of Loki), there because he knows wine backwards. I'd follow his lead and pick whichever he recommends.
Opus is a fine dining restaurant, so, naturally, they will stock some best wines, but meeting Telmo, you'll be able to try Spanish wines, exclusive to Opus.
The price includes a four-course meal with all of the wine.
