Spend an intimate evening with comedy actor John Challis as he reveals behind-the-scenes stories and gossip of hit TV series Only Fools and Horses and other shows. John will be starring in his own one-man show, Only Fools And Boycie, one of a series of celebrity shows coming to the refurbished Tamworth Assembly Rooms theatre in the Staffordshire town. John, who played 'Boycie' in the long-running sitcom Only Fools and Horses alongside Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, will perform at the Assembly Rooms on 2 September 2020. The intimate evening will see John, who also starred in Only Fools and Horses spin-off, The Green Green Grass, reveal secrets from the set together with stories and anecdotes from his outstanding career.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in show business, John will be spilling the beans about Sir David and Nicholas as well as friends and fellow performers including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oliver Reed and George Best. He will also recall tales from his time in Dr Who, Coronation Street and other TV classics. To finish the evening in style, he will meet fans after the show to sign autographs and pose for pictures, while also signing copies of his autobiography, Being Boycie, and novel, Reggie: A Stag at Bay. The appearance of John Challis forms part of an exciting new season of 'An Evening with…' shows coming to the Assembly Rooms in 2020. These special one-off shows will guarantee laughter and reveal secrets about the celebrities exciting careers.

Another show in the series features outspoken politician Ann Widdecombe in Strictly Ann, her first ever national tour. This entertaining evening takes place on 2 September 2020, when Ann lifts the lid on life in Westminster and also shares behind-the-scenes gossip from some of the nation's best-loved programmes including Strictly Come Dancing, Have I Got News For You and Celebrity Big Brother. Future celebrity guest speakers in the series are set to include cricketing commentator Jonathan Agnew and actress Patricia Routledge, best known for her role as Hyacinth Bucket in the BBC sitcom Keeping Up Appearances.
