The Olympic Studios in Barnes was once a renowned recording facility that, back in the day, hosted the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. The historic studios reopened in October 2013 - after four years of closure - as a luxury cinema and a cafe & dining room.

The cafe & dining room caters for all occasions; whether you're popping in for a coffee, a spot of lunch, afternoon tea, or a slap up meal. On entering the roomy establishment, there's an attractive bar area with trendy statement lighting; this leads through to a laid back cafe area, where the decor is simplistic in painted pale grey and tiled floors; and then through to a wooden-floored, cushioned-seated dining area, for a more formal experience.

The atmosphere throughout is relaxed and friendly, and it's good value too. The menu has a wide selection of home-made and freshly sourced dishes, with sharing plates, a selection of salads and classic British meals such as 'Old Spot Pork Belly' priced at £12. There are a selection of tempting cakes and tarts on display which are freshly made throughout the day by the restaurant's dedicated pastry chef.

Situated in the heart of Barnes, the is definitely worth a visit. You can book a table in advance or just stop by, and for those who are taking in a film at the iconic cinema, the Cafe & Dining Room is ideal for a cheeky drink or bite to eat beforehand.
