Event: -
If you were going to watch the Royal Wedding anyway, why not do it in style?

The Old Spitalfields Market, near Liverpool Street, is hosting a free screening of the wedding, so you can browse and shop whilst watching the new royal couple take their vows. The wedding will be displayed on large screens around the market, so you won't have to fight the crowds to catch a glimpse of the brand new Princess. There will also be a pop up bar in the market, so you will have plenty of opportunity to toast the royal couple. The wedding starts at 11am, so make sure you get there early and if you arrive before the fun starts, you have plenty of chance to get some shopping done.

The market is also holding a host of other events over the bank holiday weekend. It's designed to keep the children as entertained as possible. A special family market will be open over the weekend, with plenty of activities and stalls to keep both adults and children happy. The market is almost entirely indoors, so it is perfect if the weather is not as nice as we hoped. There is nothing worse than trying to keep the children entertained when it is too wet to go outside.

On bank holiday Monday, the market will be bringing you a unique experience - the world premiere of the 'Cycle Symphony'. You will be transported on a cinematic and sensory journey around London through a pedal-powered film, and a live orchestral and choral soundtrack. All visitors are invited to bring their own bicycles along and they will be conducted as part of an orchestra. Truly a unique experience that has to be experienced, further details can be found on the website.

Other events taking place over the weekend, include the East End film festival, which will involve screenings of films from London and around the world. Full details of everything happening over the weekend can be found on the website.

Be sure to check TFL for updated travel information when travelling over the bank holiday weekend.
