There is no way you're going to forget walking past . With a whole roast pig in the window every day, it's an instant attention-grabber. If you don't like pork though, this might not be the place for you as the only thing on the menu is pork.
I've known about the delights of for years and have always taken friends who are visiting for the most amazing pulled pork sandwiches here.
Ordering is straightforward. Choose your bread, portion size (small - "piglet", medium - "oink" or large - "grunter"), stuffing (haggis or sage and onion), sauce and optional crackling.
For a hearty meal, my recommendation is a grunter on a soft white roll with haggis stuffing, apple sauce and a side of crackling. It's the perfect balance of succulent tasty meat and crunchiness.
A great lunch stop after a day of exploring the city or a place to catch up with friends over a quick bite. Prices start at £3.40 for a piglet ranging to £5.80 for a grunter. A meal here isn't going to break the bank.
When the menu is so simple, you'd expect it to be good and the team have certainly achieved that. They serve up hundreds of mouthwatering pulled pork rolls every day from 11am and they even do outside catering if you want a hog roast at your special event.
is one of the best cheap eats in Edinburgh and it's not hard to see why. Go pig out at one of their three shops next time you're in the city.
