Hell, welcome to October, a traditionally foodie month. October is the month of harvest, month of halloween, and month of many food and drink oriented festivals, so the Bluebird Wine Cellar is putting on a number of tasty events to celebrate.
They are proud to be the first hub of entertainment in South West London for London Cocktail Week since the festival's conception. Sponsored by Cointreau, the festival runs between the 6th - 13th October, and you can collect your wristbands anytime between 12pm - 9pm. This will entitle you to a complimentary cocktail sample in the 'Cointreau Fizz' Garden before going up stairs. There you will be able to buy cocktails for just £4. For those wanting a glamorous night out, on the 9th October, the Bluebird will be holding a soiree with Alfred Cointreau as a special guest. They are giving away five pairs of tickets to this event, so enter for your chance to win.
Between the 8th - 27th October, the Bluebird will be taking part in the London Restaurant Festival. They have special menu lined up, which includes Jerusalem artichoke soup, pan-roasted Orkney scallop, braised saddleback pork belly, and vanilla and gingerbread cheesecake for £30 per person.
On the 9th October you can try out Winston Churchill's favourite tipple, Por Roger Champagne. From 7pm, learn about this sought-after drink's history, while matching it with various cheeses and charcuterie. Tickets are £25 and can be booked by calling 020 7559 1175.
Tired to drinks? Then lets move on to National Chocolate Week. Join the Bluebird for lots of chocolatey goodness between the 13th - 19th October.
You can't escape the drinks for long though, because on the 23rd October there will be a Royal Tokaji Tasting. Try spectacular dry and dessert wines from Hungary with wine master Christopher Donalson. The event starts at 7pm and costs £20.
After that it will be time for Halloween festivities. Between the 27th October - 2nd November families can have fun in the Pumpkin Patch Courtyard. Adults can sample Creepy Cocktails, while kids carve pumpkins. It will all end with a brunch bash party.
