To begin a wild night out in Manchester, head to Norwegian Blue bar. This friendly, atmospheric cocktail bar is an ideal place to enjoy cocktails and chat with your friends before hitting the city's many exciting nightclubs.

I ventured there with two girlfriends this summer, to distract ourselves from the looming exams and to take a well-needed break from revision and stress. Before we hit the nightclubs, we chose Norwegian Blue as our starting point to chat and enjoy some cocktails. With pitchers around £7 and a simple but classic selection of cocktails (Sex on the Beach, Cosmopolitans, Woo-Woos and many more old favourites) on the menu.


An incredible selection of 'bomb' drinks, including the Glitter Bomb were available as a final quick fix before we hit the town. These were also very reasonably priced, ranging from £2 to £2.50 per drink.


Situated in the historic Printworks, and only a stone's throw away from the Arndale Shopping Centre, Norwegian Blue is a great starting point before heading out to the vibrant nightlife of Manchester.

N.B. Much to my disappointment, the famous Monty Python reference concerning the 'Norwegian Blue' did not feature once within the bar!
