Let's face it. Some of us just are not built for running. Whether it be for the bus or on a running track, there are certain groups of people who are simply better suited to the art of moving their legs quickly. This then poses the question; "What sports can I do then?" Well in this piece I will give you information about some other sports that you can do in London.
Archery: 2020 Archery provide the chance to shoot some arrows at 3 different locations across London. The location varies depending on which day you wish to go, but the locations are Druid Street, Bermondsey and Southwark Academy. They cater for all ages and more info can be found
here.
Water Polo: The West London Penguin Swimming and Water Polo Club UK provide Water Polo opportunities for those who have already played the sport and those who are new to it. They have a range of venues, too many to list but a link can be found
here.
Fencing: The London Fencing Club offers the chance for anyone to take part in the sport which involves you actually using a sword! There are again a large number of locations, but they can all be found along with more information
here.
Table Tennis: The York Gardens Table Tennis club is the place to go to learn about and how to play table tennis. They take all ages and abilities and can count a paralympic hopeful amongst their ranks, so they wont disappoint if you want to reach a higher level. The club is found at Fircroft Primary School in Tooting. Extra information can be found
here.
So, whilst this is just a taster of some of the events and activities you can try out, you never know, you may just be brilliant at one of them! We could all be sitting down cheering you on in Rio in the 2016 Olympics. Okay, okay, I doubt it as well, but you never know do you?
