Kid Carpet and the Noisy Animals have already been to space, disrupted a nativity and had an epic dance concert, and now they're going on a holiday. Kid Carpet is the brain child of Ed Patrick, a music-maker from Bristol who presents his shows with a mix of animation, props and music. His companions are the Noisy Animals: Bear, Badger, Gorilla and Hedgehog. In Noisy Holiday the Noisy Animals have got lots of big ideas about how they'd like to spend their vacation, and it seems like a camping trip to Wales in the last thing they want to do.

Noisy Holiday will have four shows across the 5th and 6th of May. Performing an 11am and 2pm show on Saturday the 5th of May at NST Campus, and an 11am and 2pm show on Sunday the 6th of May at NST City Studio. The show is recommended for children between the ages of 3 and 8 years of age as well as, of course, parents of any age.

Kid Carpet found his name through an online name generator and while it sounds like the perfect nonsensical name for a children's performer, he wasn't always making music for families. Armed with found and makeshift instruments that would equally be at home at a pre-school, Kid Carpet has toured with the likes of Arcade Fire, Art Brut and the Presidents of the United States of America. Eventually he started making musical theatre for families.

His multimedia show use music and props to create a low-fi act that's fun and engaging. Songs like 'Taking a Poo in the Forest' (which you can listen to on his website ) are fun and easy for young kids to pick up on, with catchy music and simple lyrics. They're the songs that have your 4-year-old out of their seat and bopping along to the beat. He's got a similar charm to shows like Yo Gabba Gabba – songs with a bit of nonsense and a lot of colour that kids seem to love and adults can't help enjoying either. The right amount of humour gets sprinkled in so that everyone leaves happy.

Tickets are on sale on the NST website . Tickets are £6 each for both parents and children. If you're fan of Kid Carpet, head to his Facebook page to keep up to date with future shows.
