If you are looking for a cosy but chic, friendly and yummy place for breakfast on a Sunday morning, roast lunch later in the day or dinner on a Saturday night in South West London, then look no further than Nineteen on Streatham High Road - an ideal venue for all of the above and more.

The bar/restaurant is decked out with striking warehouse style deco with exposed bricks and comfortable furnishings including plush sofas providing a buzzy atmosphere for fun and intimate nights out. If you don't fancy eating, they have a great cocktail list too, consisting of my personal favourite, a mojito!

I live locally and have come here on many occasions and the menu serving British and French food is just delicious. They have an extensive brunch menu that can be toast with maple syrup and bacon viewed here , but if you do go, please try the French toast with maple syrup and bacon, they are just amazing and perfectly cooked. I had these for breakfast on a lazy Sunday morning but I could have eaten them for any meal, they were that good!

The burgers are also scrumptious on the brunch menu (which is also available in the evening) but if you would rather go for something a bit more complicated, they have a great evening menu too. My favourite dish is the lemon sole. The fish is lovely and flaky and perfectly cooked accompanied by some lovely fresh potato.

Nineteen also offer lots of offers which in the current climate is always handy. The Odeon cinema is a 2 minute walk up the road and if you show your ticket pre of post film, you receive 15% off your meal. Wednesday night is steak night which offers a very reasonable, steak and dessert for just £13.50 plus every week day night (including Fridays) between 5pm and 7:30pm, Nineteen offer buy 1 get 1 free on cocktails, a perfect way to start your meal.

They take reservations online but it is fine to just turn up if you are in the area as they will always make space.

This is one not to be missed, oh and the coffee is fantastic, especially when you need to have a blast of wake up caffeine on a Sunday morning.
