Roar 'n' Snore at Melbourne Zoo
Have you ever wondered what happens after the Zoo closes and the staff have gone to sleep? Now you can live it yourself with a camping-style sleepover experience at Melbourne Zoo!
Overnight guests have exclusive access to the Zoo after dark, as they view nocturnal life and listen to the stories of the keepers. Waking the next day to the calls of the animals, guests then have access to the zoo before the doors are opened for regular visitation.
For more information and bookings, call 1300 966 784. Bookings are for one night only, and cost $199 per adult and $150 per child, with discounts available for Zoo Members.
Wild Nights at Werribee Open Range Zoo
Following successful previous seasons, Werribee Open Range Zoo is once again operating the Wild Night series of after-dark events. From 5:30pm - 8:30 pm guests can explore the zoo and find out what goes on when the doors have closed. More information will be available soon on their website, though the event is likely to run from 25 June – 9 July. This is a wonderful way for younger children to experience the excitement of wildlife at night without the commitment of an overnight stay.
With everything from romantic getaways to events for the kids, consider Zoos Victoria for your next unique after-dark activity.
