To paraphrase Dorothy: 'There is no place like London.' I hope I can convince you of that here. Also check out my blog at damselwithadulcimer.wordpress.com and my theatre reviews at www.playstosee.com

I Can Think of Worse Things Than Being Addicted to Books
The New Leaf is an independent bookshop in Pinner, North West London. Judy Lever Chain and Martin Lever started the business more than 16 years ago. Back then it was a children's bookshop, but it now fills a niche for adults as well.
Judy and Martin's expertise is still in the field of books for younger readers and they are happy to advise on purchases and suggest reading material for children. Youngsters can acquire the enjoyment of books at different ages so creative toys are also available. These include games, construction and science kits and jigsaw puzzles.
There's a little area in the shop where books can be browsed with appropriately sized small furniture.

The New Leaf also works closely with local schools, organising book fairs and taking writers in to meet the children.

They are aware that they can't compete with online retailers, but then virtual bookshops don't allow you to get down and dirty, browse the bookshelves and feel the pages between your fingers.
The shop is also connected to Hive, which is an online site for browsing books and music. You can select an item and then choose a local shop where your choice or choices will be delivered free of charge within 24 hours.
Why not turn over a new leaf and visit the New Leaf bookshop?
