New Fook, despite its unfortunate name is one of the best restaurants in China Town. It is also actually affordable, something unusual in central London.

The restaurant does an excellent crispy duck and pancakes complete with vegetables and plum sauce. The place also has a big range of vegetable and fish dishes and a lovely noodle and prawn dish with lots of chillis in it, which is great to eat.

The place has also relatively recently been re-done up so all the paintwork and seating is once again brand new.

The place has an impression of being small and cramped because it is slightly below ground and you step down into but I assure you once you're inside cramped becomes intimate and comfortable.

The restaurant also has a very stylish downstairs which is used for more formal parties and celebration. New Fook is a great place to take a friend for dinner but also to bring your whole family to celebrate a special day.
