Being a parent is expensive, especially in the early years. No sooner have you bought your baby a set of clothes, they have grown out of them and need an entirely new wardrobe.

That is where NCT come into help. They are the UK's biggest parenting company, and aim to support parents during pregnancy, birth, and the early stages of your child's life.

As well as improving maternity care and working towards better medical facilities, NCT wants to help parents financially too.

Four times a year, the NCT hold 'Nearly New Sales' at in Dorking. These events are bring and buy sales: take along the old baby clothes and toys that your child has grown out of, and restock their wardrobe with second-hand, good quality items. You can get anything from maternity wear, baby clothes, toys, or prams & cots. The next Nearly New Sales will be at the North Holmwood Village Hall on Spook Hill from 10.15am, and are on the following dates next year:

Saturday 9th February 2013
Saturday 27th April 2013
Saturday 21st September 2013
Saturday 16th November 2013

You'll be able to find things like prams from £40, toys, books & babygros from 50p, and high chairs & slings from £10.

There are also other events and training courses that take place throughout the year, such as Baby First Aid, Cheeky Monkey Tea Parties, and antenatal classes.

If you are interested in getting more involved, you can become a member of NCT for £4 a month. Membership gives you special discounts, priority entry to the Nearly New Sales, subscription to their quarterly magazine, and the chance to get connected and make new friends.
