With the hundreds of television channels available to us today, it is no surprise that we are saturated with some real doozies. But amongst all the rubbish, there are still a few decent programmes. More than decent actually. Terrestrial television still manages to bring out some amazing shows with outstanding actors.
That's why each year, The National Television Awards is held to congratulate the talented people who provided us with couch potato entertainment. And since it is us who watch the programmes, it only seems fair that the winners are determined by a public
vote . There are thirteen categories to vote on, including the best talent show, serial drama, comedy, drama, drama performance, factual entertainment, daytime show, newcomer, serial drama performance, documentary, entertainment presenter, entertainment programme, and for the first time, and award for the best TV detective.
Once you have voted, you'll be entered into a prize draw, in which you could win tickets to the National Television Awards Show at the 02 Arena on the 22nd January. If you would rather guarantee a seat, then you can also
book tickets from £23.50. If you want the star treatment, then £129 VIP package will get you into an exclusive pre-show Champagne reception, premium seats, fast track entry, pre-show hair & make-up check stations, a manicure & hand massage, 'get papped' photoshoot, souvenir brochure, and a goody bag.
If you book two tickets before the 11th October, you will also be in with a chance to win a walk down the red carpet. Other prize draws include being picked from the audience to hand out an award (vertigo ticket holders shouldn't hold their breath).
