A bucket list for the new year
As 2018 begins, all the things we loved and enjoyed in 2017 soon becomes a distant, pleasant memory. To ensure 2018 promises just that, here I countdown NEW and exciting things to do in London this year…

Situated by the Thames just south of the river, this exciting hub of activities changes annually and includes a huge spectrum of events suited for all people. Alternating all the time, this year have new interesting events including architecture tours, ballroom dancing and even an ABBA-themed exhibit! What's more, events are super cheap, some even being free so a visit is a must do!

Art Galleries and Theatre trips

Like most galleries, pop up exhibitions or focus points often change within an art gallery. Whether keeping up to date with socio-political issues or simply enjoying the arts aesthetic, visiting these ever-changing exhibits are a great way to kick off your 2018! Even popular galleries such as Tate Modern and Saatchi dedicate spaces to ever-changing works by various artists. Similarly, theatres often recreate popular films or movies, despite sticking to more traditional productions which include The Lion King and the famous Wicked.

Venture outside of zone 1

Sometimes our hectic lives can prevent us from truly exploring out our comfort zones, particularly in somewhere as chaotic and work-focused as London. Sometimes we forget how much open spaces and fresh air London can offer. Whether it's Richmond park to go deer spotting or visiting Eltham Palace, it can be a great way to see London in a different light.

Do something YOU'VE always wanted to do

Always wanted to go on the London Eye? Wished you visited last years Notting Hill Carnival but never made it? Everyone has things they wished they did in 2017 but never achieved them in some way. For people living in London maybe you want to spend a day as a 'tourist', revisiting all the sights which we can often postpone and never actually do. Perhaps for people visiting, you'd like to try something totally new and low-key. Whatever you decide, make it fun and different!
