Mum 2 Mum Market are a group that organise markets all over the UK so that parents can buy and sell pre-loved goods. The market is filled with stalls selling everything from grosuits to cloth nappies, to Thomas train sets or second hand prams. The only rules are that products must be suitable for children aged 0-6 or pregnant women, and that all products for sale must be in a good condition.
Saturday 14th July 2-4pm Saturday 13th October 2-4pm
If you can't make it along to any of the Southampton dates, there will also be markets in Eastleigh. You can find the 2018 Eastleigh market dates here.
Coming to Buy
Entry to the market is £2 for adults and free for children. If you register online you can get a 2-for-1 entry deal. As all the stallholders are parents, not businesses, it's hard to know exactly what to expect on the day, but you can be guaranteed that there will be plenty of variety and items will be in a good condition.
Coming to Sell
If you're interested in selling at the market you can book a stall online. You'll have a trestle table and a bit of extra space beside your stall in case you're selling something big like a pram, or have a clothes rack to display. The Mum 2 Mum Market website has plenty of information to prepare sellers for their stall, including tips and tricks for a well-presented stall and information about which products do and don't sell at markets.
You can't just bring along anything to sell. Items must be in good condition and not damaged in any way, and they must be suitable for children aged 0-6 of pregnant women. You can't sell that little black dress you haven't worn since 2006, but you can sell that tutu your daughter wore at her ballet recital last year. Stalls range from £20-£25, but you'll be able to find exact prices when you book online.
