'Rosie the Rhino', by Tom Yendell
It is amazing to think that while equipped with a ruler, a pencil and two hands, I still struggle to draw a straight line, there are hundreds of individuals out there who have created masterpiece paintings by holding a paintbrush between their toes.
The
Mouth and Foot Artists Association was founded in 1957; it is an international self-help organisation with almost eight hundred members across seventy-six countries, all of whom have learnt to paint without the ability to use their hands.
Between the 30th August - 1st September, the MFPA will be at Hyde Park for their
Painting in the Park event. There will be live mouth and foot painting demonstrations, and a colouring competitions for children. Inspired by the painted rhino sculpture by Tom Yendell, children will be able to colour in their own rhino for a chance to win tickets to Marwell Zoo.
