I'm a firm believer in shopping local wherever possible, however there's no doubt that sometimes it's quicker, easier and cheaper to just log-on to the internet and shop from the comfort of home. Not only that but you can find some lovely unique gifts online too, as long as you know the right places to look. With Mother's Day fast approaching (it's on March 15th this year incase you didn't know), I've rounded up a few budget-friendly suggestions for a perfect Mother's Day gift.
1. A personalised photo album.
Not on The High Street have loads of one-of-a-kind gift ideas, many of which can be given that extra-special personalised touch. I particularly like this photo album which can be made to order with a photo and bespoke message for your mum. At just £15 plus p&p it's a great value gift idea.
Tatty Devine is an independent company that produces original standout jewellery. Their designs are fun and distinctive, and very different from the sort of pieces you'd find in a high street jewellery shop. I really like this perspex fox brooch which is just £35 and will be sure to put a smile on your mum's face.
Amazon currently have an offer on until the end of March, where you can get three paperback books for £10. They have a huge range to choose from that suit all tastes and the UK postage is free as it is over a tenner. Now that's what I call budget-friendly.
As well as loads of other stuff, Photo Box have a range of photo canvases that come in many shapes and sizes. You can choose to have just one special photo enlarged or create a collage of many, with unlimited pictures as well as different colours and text. The canvases work out at extremely good value, especially if you take advantage of one of Photo Box's promotions that run regularly.
In the Paper is a website where you can create a bespoke tabloid newspaper front page that is personal to the recipient. You get to choose from a number of headlines, upload a photo and add personal details into a template, changing as much or as little of the text as you like. Prices start from only £9.99 for an unframed single page.
