If you are looking for a little B and B in central Brighton, then look no further.
Motel Schmotel is the best-kept secret of Russell Square. The entire luxury essential for a fantastic stay in Brighton are offered here and the family welcome is sure to make you feel at ease. This B&B are well known for their award-winning breakfasts. You choose what you want to eat and what time you want it eat it the night before on a tick list hanging on the door. You can also arrange to have it in the breakfast room or in bed. The
menu is endless as well, you can choose from a full English, to fruit and cereal, yoghurts, porridge, kippers, anything you would want from a breakfast. I personally recommend the boiled eggs with marmite soldiers, particularly because they draw smiley faces on the eggs, a perfect homely touch for your morning breakfast.
I ordered mine for 8:30am on my first night staying here and bang on time there was a knock at the door and I comfortably had my delicious breakfast in bed. The breakfast room is really pretty and homely though with a real seaside chill out touch.
In the heart of Brighton, Motel Schmotel is located in the middle of Russell Square. This bed and breakfast is in an optimum location for all the best attractions including shopping, historical sites and the beach just a three minute walk away. All the surrounding streets are lined with pubs, restaurants and creative boutiques to keep your to do list growing day by day.
The hotel is a family owned hotel and we were greeted on arrival by the owners who were extremely helpful. The room I stayed in here had the comfiest bed with crisp white sheets and squidgy pillows. Definitely no complaints here. The rooms are very cosy, with a TV on the wall, en suite, shampoo and shower products and all the tea and coffee facilities you would need.
Nothing was too much for the staff at this place and they make you feel ever so welcome. On my second morning when I decided to go for the cereal and yoghurt, I asked what flavour the yoghurt was and then was proceeded to be asked what sort of yoghurt I would like as they were "just popping to the shops." Really first class service and makes a lovely change, in two meanings of the word, from staying in the hotel chains on the Brighton seafront.
The hotel can be
booked online on their website for the best and most up to date deals or, over the phone on: 01273 326 129
Well worth the visit.
