I always knew The Beatles were ahead of their time. Remember when they sang,
"Ob la di, ob-la-da, life goes on, bra"? Well, they had foreseen
The MoonWalk Scotland where you and all your friends can get together and help raise money and awareness for breast cancer while your life goes on (in a) bra. Yes, wearing bras is
Walk the Walk's unique and all the gals and guys wear the special
Walk the Walk decorated bras. Turning the night into a vision to behold and one that helps raise awareness and millions of pounds for some most needy causes.
The
MoonWalk Scotland is organised by the grant making charity,
Walk the Walk. By taking part you're raising money to be granted to other UK charities to help achieve the overall, united aim that looks for a time when nobody dies from breast cancer. An example of one such grant in Scotland saw
Walk the Walk contribute £3.25 million to fund a new breast cancer ward, operating theatre and renovations of the Mammography Unit at the
Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. This provided for a marked improvement of the patient experience with regard to breast checks and treatment as well as the working conditions for staff.
For the
MoonWalk Scotland 2018 the theme of the night
'Hollywood comes to Holyrood'. So the serious side of on the night is all about having fun as you walk the red carpet under the full moon on Holyrood Park, Queens Drive, Edinburgh (
