With school half term now only a few weeks away, it's time to start thinking about filling up the days. And here's a great idea -Richmond Adult Community College is hosting a
Moana morning for your mini Disney fans.
Starting at 10am, for ages 5 and above, the morning starts with a 40 minute Hula dance class followed by a screening of the brilliant Disney animation, Moana. Kids and adults are encouraged to dress up in their best Hawaiian outfits.
At the Hula Hawaiian dance class, kids (and adults if you're game) can pop on a grass skirt and Hawaiian shirt and learn some basic Hula moves from a Hula dance tutor. The Hula newbies can then dance along to songs from the film. Every child will get a Lei necklace too for joining in the fun.
There will a short break during the dance class and just before the film for toilet trips and snacks."Moana" is an animated Disney adventure about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana finds the once-mighty demi-god Maui and together they travel the open ocean on an action-packed voyage of discovery. The story uses Polynesian myths to create this wonderful Disney tale. Here's a fun fact for the kids - the name 'Moana' means 'ocean' in Hawaiian and Maori.
Snacks and drinks will be available to buy. Children must bring their own adult.
