First of all - are you old enough to be reading this article? This is for the over-18's only, okay? Ok, now that's out of the way - let me tell you about one of my favourite Central London spots, and one with a big secret - adults, let's head off to (sorry kids!)...

Milroy's is a real guilty pleasure place. It specialises in rare whiskies, and when I say specialises, I am not talking in jest. Over 250 different varieties can be found placed around the walls of the ground floor shop area, with whiskies arriving from all four corners of the globe - from Japan to South Africa, Australia to Scotland (of course!). With so many to choose from, it is no surprise to find that they have a whiskey bar in which to imbibe a dram or two, all while having the origin and character explained to you by an expert.

If your lucky, you may also get to try one of Milroy's own blends - and even buy a bottle to take home with you.

Now about the secret - well, as I am one of those people who doesn't like to spoil surprises, I'm not going to tell you too much. Let's just say, if you make your way to the back of the shop where the bookshelves are, some of them are not quite what they seem...
