"It could have been Michael — absolutely. Wouldn't that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael's Cirque du Soleil show." – Jackie Jackson speaks out after Tupac Hologram
Rumours are circulating that our beloved 'King of Pop' could return to the stage, to give us a live performance we may have thought was impossible.
Following the resurrection of Tupac Shakur at Coachella earlier this year, talks of Michael Jackson making an appearance is on the table.
Holograms could be a thing of the future. Holograms could be a new way to see our favourite passed musicians, meaning even Elvis Presley could make an appearance.
If I'm honest, yes, the technology behind it is amazing, if I didn't know better, I could have believed he was really there, however it really freaked me out! It felt like the ghost of Tupac was circling the stage. The voice and the hologram were so perfectly fitting it was confusing to the mind. We pay to see artists live, right? Isn't a hologram almost like a fancy 3D movie, without the glasses? Where is that live interaction we pay to see and feel from our favourite artists?
Although fans of artists like Tupac, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley and many more, may think it's a dream come true to have the chance to experience a concert with them one more time, has technology taken it too far?
The hologram of Tupac is said to have cost 6.3 million, so for now the return of passed away artist could be more expensive then it's worth.
The Jackson brothers have wanted to bring a hologram of Michael to complete the return of Jackson 5 - whether this will happen or not is another story. Michael's music will continue to live on and be loved for many years! Do we really need a hologram to prove that?
However, until then, for those that are missing MJ, 'The Michael Jackson Spectacular' will be taking place on the 14th October in the O2 arena.
In celebration of the MJ Immortal World Tour, the Indigo2 is set to deliver 4 hours of amazing tribute acts, most of them having worked or been recognised by Michael himself.
There is also a slot available to the public to perform alongside the tribute acts. For more info visit www.mjspectacular.com
It is a day out for fans and families, who can enjoy a fun and exciting atmosphere, all dedicated to the King of Pop. Taking place on the Sunday, so more people will have the time off to relax and enjoy.
