Metrobus was established in 1983 in Orpington; the company has over four hundred and fifty buses that provide transport for people in areas ranging as far from Kent to Brighton. Metrobus is about to turn thirty years old on the 24th September, so on the weekend of the 21st & 22nd September, they will be holding birthday celebrations at their depots in Croydon, Orpington, and Crawley. Pop in between 10am-4pm for a family fun
open day; admission is free, but some of the activities will be raising money for various charities.
Every depot will offer tours, static vehicle displays, a ride through the bus wash, a bouncy castle for kids, merchandise stalls, live music, and refreshments. Also available at the Crawley depot will be a Fastways tour, Bluebell Railway stall, and children's arts & crafts.
