The Canvas Swap Over

Merging Ink is a collaborative art project between London' Crazivity Design Studio and We are Artists in Penang. The fusion of culture also mixes street with contemporary, and music with market art to bring visitors an eclectic show. Between 12pm - 5pm on the 2nd August, you will be able to get involved in a unique range of free entertainment, ranging from body & canvas painting to poetry performances.

The concept behind Merging Inks is similar to a game we used to play as a child; you would draw a head on piece of paper, fold it over, hand it over to the next person, and they would draw the body. They would then fold the paper again, and hand it to the next person to draw the legs. As a result, you ended up with an entirely mismatched individual. Here the artists will also be swapping canvases with one another to make a truly collaborative piece.

Under the roof of RichMix, Shoreditch, you will be able to view and buy work from local artists, listen to live music, and appreciate all things creative. It is free to enter, but you need to register.
