This September the Alzheimer's Society is organising sponsored walks across the UK. If you want to help raise money for people with dementia then simply choose the walk taking place in your area, and register online.

The London Walk is on the 23rd of September. Registration is at 10am and the walk beings at 11am. You will start at Battersea Park by the bandstand, and will then have a choice of three different length walks:

1. A 2 mile walk through Chelsea Park.
2. A 5 mile walk starting from the park, then carrying on along Chelsea Embankment.
3. A 10 mile walk along the River Thames, past Battersea power station and Big Ben.

If there is not a walk in your area, you can send off for an organisation pack and you can set up your own.

If walking doesn't sound appealing, but you still want to help out, they are always looking for volunteers to help with registration, co-ordinating the routes, and health and safety.
