When it comes to Christmas, if there's one thing kids love more than tearing the wrapping off a pile of presents (and making a huge mess in the process), it's meeting the Big Guy, the Deliverer of Smiles, the Chubby Man in Red, the Brilliant Bearded One – I'm talking about Santa Claus, in case you hadn't realised.


Now, because Santa's something of a miracle man, able to deliver gifts to millions of homes around the world in the space of a few evenings (how does he do that?), it's really no effort at all for him to appear almost simultaneously in a number of venues across London throughout November and December, meeting excited and expectant children who hand him wish lists longer than his tangled white beard.

If you're a parent reading this and your toddler is already asking, "When can I meet Santa?", then consider making your way to London Zoo where you'll find him in his grotto – or as the Zoo is calling it, his "winter lodge" – with his team of hard-working reindeers resting nearby. You read it right – the entire family can meet not only Santa, but also his reindeers, which seems rather apt considering the whole shebang is taking place at a zoo.

Elf photographers will be on hand to catch the magic moment when your child first sets eyes on Santa, and every littl'un will be given a special gift to take home.


Santa will be present at London Zoo every Saturday and Sunday from now until Christmas Day, with three extra dates arranged in December for Thursday 20th, Friday 21st, and Monday 24th.
