Meadowbank Annual Fireworks Display

This is the City of Edinburgh's official annual fireworks display in November. They're not to be confused with what locals refer to as the Festival fireworks, which are in August, or the Hogmanay fireworks, which are on New Year's Eve. This city loves its fireworks!



The event is at Meadowbank Stadium, in the East of the city, and it's usually packed to capacity with families coming along to see the show. It starts with sporting displays and bagpipes for pre-show entertainment.

The gates open at 18:30, and the show starts at 19:30.

This display is great if you live in the city and don't want to travel far, and if you like the idea of being able to shelter in the stadium if weather decides to be typically Scottish. This year the theme is Disney, so it should be popular with children, and it's hosted by local DJ, Big Al.
