If you're facing the next half term holiday with dread, the
Museum of Childhood has a fascinating programme of events to occupy your offspring. Throughout the week, from Monday until Sunday, your budding James Bonds will be able to unleash their secret agent desires. All ages are welcome at the Spy Kids workshops where they will be able to dabble in:
- An I Spy Trail
- A Story Spinner
- A Cipher Station
- Disguises
- Secret Agent ID
Completion of the I Spy Trail will offer an opportunity to win a prize; Story Spinner is a re-telling of Michael Foreman's
A Child's Garden and Cipher Station will teach your child to decipher secret messages. I don't think you need to be a secret agent to fathom out Disguises and Secret Agent ID.

Spy Kids at the Museum of Childhood
If your spy kids prove very adept and learn well, they may even be able to make themselves so secretive that you won't even know that they are around for the rest of the week. Perhaps the May half-term won't be so daunting after all.
