Max Inc – Vintage Furniture Shop

The up-and-coming Askew Road, to the west of Shepherd's Bush, is fast becoming filled with independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and half way along is Max Inc: a vintage furniture and lighting shop, that is a little treasure trove of aged delights.



Split over two floors, the space is crammed with restored sideboards, sofas, chests of drawers, coffee tables, lamps and mirrors (among other things), most dating back to the sixties and seventies.

Whether you're in the market for a new (or old) piece of furniture or not, Max Inc is a very interesting store to browse around if you're passing by. You never know what you might discover there and a lot of it is very reasonably priced too.

The shop itself seems to be a bit of a sideline for the owner; the website reveals that 'Max' – an over-sized floor lamp, based on the traditional desk lamp design - is his main business. Find out more about that here .

The nearest tube stations to Askew Road are Ravenscourt Park and Stamford Brook on the District Line. There are also regular bus services to and from Shepherd's Bush.
