With all the food leftover from Christmas, you would think that grocery shopping would not be necessary for another week or two. There is always something that you are missing though. I had completely run out of fresh vegetables for my guinea pigs, so despite it being a grey, wet day, had to go to the super market. Fortunately the rain held off while I was out.

When I got to Marks & Spencers, I was not surprised to find the shop crowded with people. Some were there getting refunds or returning unwanted gifts, but rest assured, most were there for the Boxing Day sales. Remember when it used to be the January sales?

At the moment, M&S are selling their goods at up to 50% off. This includes clothes, homeware, beauty products, fashion, and food & wine.

Although I had gone out for groceries, I thought I might as well look around and see what they had. In most cases, each clothing brand had their own sales section, but there were also miscellaneous racks of odd bits and bobs that were in the last of stock.

In their Food Hall there was a display at the front advertising 50% Louis Chaurey Champagne. It had been £30 a bottle and is now £15. They also have a mix and match offer: buy any six bottles of wine and get 25% off.

There isn't much on sale in terms of food, but there are a couple of 'festive offers' as they try to clear the Christmas stock. At the moment, they have a third off the price of gammon.

At the entrance you can also see a sample of discounted furniture. You can browse their full range on their first floor, along with kitchenware and other home essentials.
