On Mae Ping's drinks menu you will find cocktails, mocktails, and non-alcholic cocktails. While reading the descriptions, I was drying to figure out what the difference between a mocktail and a non-alcholic cocktail was, but the only way I was going to get that answered was by giving them both a try.
I have already sampled their non-alcholic Cinderella, so this time I opted for the Summer Mango Special mocktail, which is £4.25. From what I can determine, their mocktails are thicker and more like smoothies. Where as I could guzzle down several Cinderellas in no time, this drink lasted me most the evening.
It was a blend of mango, strawberry, and apple, and came with a large wedge of orange. The mango took dominant position, but the subtle hints of strawberry and apple, enhanced the drink to another level. It was not the easiest thing to drink through a straw though, as bits of pulp kept getting stuck.
