When you think of dumplings, you probably think of stodgy round balls that go into stew or are covered in gravy. Mae Ping's Thai dumplings couldn't be anything more far removed.

Delicately steamed, beautifully decorated, and filled with juicy minced chicken and nuts, this £5.25 starter is one of my favourites. It is served on a bed of salad leaves and accompanied by a strong and rather pungent soy sauce, which is best used in moderation.
