Massaman is a Thai curry traditionally eaten by Muslims. At Mae Ping, they spell it 'Mussaman', and it contains vegetables, potatoes, and mild spices. My friends ordered it to share around the table, but I didn't think it sounded that interesting. It was only when they commented on how good it was that I decided to try. By this point all the vegetables and potatoes were gone; all that was left was the sauce. But boy, what a sauce. I drizzled it over some rice, and it was amazing; sweet, but mildly spicy, it was like nothing I've tasted before.
