Since March 2013 'Macarons & More' has graced Norwich's Royal Arcade with a beautiful display of delicate treats. Norwich certainly has its fair share of tea rooms and sweet shops, but Tim Kennaird has established something extra special for the cobbled city.

In 2010 Tim featured in the renowned BBC series 'Masterchef' where his incredible cooking skills granted him second place in the finals. Since leaving his full time job at Norfolk University Hospital he has dedicated his life to his passion for cakes and desserts, specifically the macaron. Tim dedicated many hours working within his own kitchen to perfect his unique macaron recipes and waited patiently for an ideal location to open his own store. The Royal Arcade could not be more perfect.

The elegance of the Victorian architecture and the smooth, curved glass of the window front make for a stunning location to display such beautiful treats. Within the glass the macarons lay nestled amid chic bird cages and beautiful glassware; a delicate parade of colour likely to draw in any wandering eyes.

The shop boasts an array of flavours, from the award winning Salted Caramel to Pistachio, Lavender and Cappuccino. Not only are there numerous macarons on offer, but also an assortment of other treats such as home-made marshmallow and pate de fruit, as well as tarts and gateaux to please every customer.

These decadent cakes can be enjoyed within the shop, taken away, or ordered online for special occasions. Tim offers the unique Macaron Croquembouche as an alternative to traditional cakes, but equally welcomes orders for luxury and wedding cakes too.

So if you find yourself wandering under the arches of the Royal Arcade, then keep your eyes peeled for a rainbow display of little treats.
