This term the Lyric Theatre are running three performing arts programs, which cost £27 per nine-week course. The first is a Studio Intensive, which runs every Monday evening, 6pm-9pm between the 13th January - 10th March. It is aimed at 15-21 year olds who want to take their acting to a professional level. Students will get to work with a with a professional director and a guest artist to create a piece of theatre which will be performed in the Lyric Studio.
Usually when kids start acting up, it is considered a bad thing, but the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith absolutely encourage it. Acting Up gives young the chance to work with international directors in a creative environment. These evening classes are split into three age categories. 11-13 year olds on Tuesdays, 5pm-7pm; 14-17 year olds on Thursdays, 5.30pm-7.30pm; 18-21 year olds, Thursdays, 7.15pm-9.15pm. Class begin from the 13th January - 13th March.
If you prefer singing to acting, from the 14th January - 11th Match, 13-21 year olds can join West London's leading youth choir, Lyric Voices. Rehearsals are 7pm-9pm and led by respected recording artist and vocal coach, Byron Gold. You will get to sing a diversity of songs from groups such as Take That, and solo artists like Michael Jackson and Bob Marley.
