If you're looking for somewhere unique to eat in Hammersmith, then I recommend you look no further than the . Set inside the Lyric Theatre, the is the perfect place for a light lunch, delicious dinner or a couple of cocktails.
Run by Peyton & Byrne, the restaurant is on the first floor of the theatre, and boasts a show-stopping roof garden overlooking Lyric Square and King Street. If it is a sunny day, you can sit amid the beautiful fauna soaking up the sunshine, a world away from the hustle and bustle below. Much like me and my girls are doing here:
The extensive menu is inspired by popular street food with gorgeous grill offerings, salads, sharing boards, burgers and quick bites. You may be in the heart of West London, but the food prices are surprisingly reasonable. For example, for just £10.50 you can get blackened fillet of sea bass with a chilli pickle marinade and a choice of two salads such as quinoa with mixed olives, sun-dried tomatoes and feta cheese or roasted vegetables, lentils and butternut squash. Or if you fancy something vegetarian, for just £9.50 you can devour this chargrilled vegetable & halloumi cheese skewer:
There is a separate section on the menu for children with favourites such as macaroni cheese or breaded cod with fries for £5.00. And to finish, there's icecream for the kids, and for grown-ups, gooey chocolate cake and mascarpone or bakewell tart and vanilla ice cream priced at £5.50. You'll find the full menu on the
website , along with a booking form for reservations.
The is just a few minutes' walk from Hammersmith Underground station, where you can catch the District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines, or get a bus from Hammersmith bus station.
So, whether you're watching a show, meeting friends, indulging in a spot of shopping, or just passing-by, take a break at the . I promise you won't be disappointed.
