Where are Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett?
Calling all, wait...calling all UK-ers! The first hints of our elusive sunshine is here. It's time to start tentatively planning weekends that take us out of one of the greatest cities in the world, into some of the most ruggedly beautiful countryside in the world.

Let's start with my favourite weekend getaway: the expansive estate of Lyme Park.

Entrance Lyme Park
First view of Pemberley...I mean Lyme Park

Some of you might recognise the gorgeous house and gardens as the Pemberley of Colin Firth's Mr Darcy (swoon).

There are plenty of places to sit and have a picnic, spot deer and take some gentle strolls. Or, for the more avid hikers amongst us, there are longer walking routes that you can take in and around the grounds.

On top of all that, Stockport is a direct train ride away from London Euston. How easy is that!
