LS6 Cafe is a quirky stop in the Woodhouse/Hyde Park area of Leeds, and as I discovered, a perfect place for late-morning breakfast after a busy night out. I was on the way back from Hyde Park to my halls opposite the university, and was so glad that I found such a beautiful and friendly cafe to revitalise myself.
The options available for breakfast at LS6 include muesli and variations of eggs benedict. Breakfast is served until 4pm. The Day Menu is served between 9am and 5pm and offers a wide range of options to suit everybody. The gourmet sandwiches are well worth a try, and they come in either a ciabatta (between £4 and £4.80) or a bagel (between £3.50 and £4). The smoked salmon bagel comes highly recommended by me! I enjoyed this with a pineapple juice, while watching the world go by outside.
You should also treat yourself to one of their fantastic desserts, too, the apple pie and custard is simply divine. For sides, you can treat yourself to humous and olives to add a Mediterrainean touch to your meal.
The staff are incredibly friendly and resourceful, and the decor will remind you of a vintage shop (vinyl record cake stands anybody?). For this, LS6 will delight you from the moment you step through the door, to the second you step out again.
