Lovebox is one of London's biggest and most popular music festivals. Now running for its eighth year, it is predicted that this years audience will be around 65,000!
Set in Victoria park in the centre of Hackney, Bethnal Green and Bow, it is smack bang in the middle of the east end and has been described as one of the UKs best urban festivals.
There will be a mixture of chaotic rock and roll with huge dramatic sets, stages, and performances, down to small acoustic sets for captivated audiences. Djs will also be dotted all around the park, playing a collection of various different genres, so you can escape the crowds around the main stage. The festival will also provide everything you would expect at a major music event, good food and drink, with a variety of stalls and snack bars.
A mixture of old classics and new emerging talent means there is something for everyone to discover, and the picturesque setting means you feel like you have escaped the city without driving for hours, only to be met by a field full of mud!
Major acts this year include The Wombats, Example, Jessie J, Beth Ditto, Robyn, Blondie, Kelis and the Scissor Sisters. So you are guaranteed to see someone you love.
The festival runs over 3 days, with some acts only playing on one or two, so do check the website for full information.
Tickets can be purchased direct from the website, or from some local HMV stores, but get in quickly, as tickets are likely to sell out fast!
