Care for a peanut butter milkshake? Or how about a glass of wine instead? And would you like some pancakes on the side? The Love Shake, a quirky media cafe in the heart of Shoreditch, serves up a wide variety of drinks and snacks in a cool atmosphere that is perfect for any day or night.



When I first encountered The Love Shake, it was a breath of fresh air-- literally-- after a few friends and I decided that the club across the street was way too crowded and sweaty to spend another minute of our Saturday night. When we spotted The Love Shake with its inviting, well-lit exterior and a sign for "Shakes, Smoothies, Beer & Wine, Coffee & Tea", we decided to venture in.


What we found was a charming and lively 1950s cafe style hangout, filled with groups of friends chatting around tables-- some were eating, others sitting and drinking by the bar, and others sipping from milkshakes (which can be both alcoholic or non-alcoholic). The classic 50s diner theme and upbeat indie music gave the place a lot of personality, and it was refreshing to find a spot to hang out that was unique and different from your average club or pub. We quickly realized that you don't need to stand in a line for a half hour to get shoved around on a dance floor in order to have a fun night out in Shoreditch.

In the afternoon, people often come to The Love Shake to enjoy the fast wifi, laptops, and printing services and to have a nice snack with friends or alone. The cafe during the day provides an ideal spot to relax and maybe get some work done in a cool atmosphere with a lot of character.


The Love Shake is the perfect alternative night out in the Hoxton area, with all the thrills of a regular bar but with so much more to offer. Whether you're stopping in mid-afternoon on a Tuesday or at 11 PM on a Saturday night, you'll find that The Love Shake has whatever you're looking for in a good time.
