This really is one for the kids. Longbridge Activity Centre plays host to a huge range of different activities that will be sure to entice those who love to be outside.



Located riverside, this centre gives young people the chance to explore various sailing activities on the river and different exciting activities by the river. These include Kayaking, Canoeing and Dragon Boating, so if you don't fancy getting wet (which you almost certainly will, I've tried Canoeing before and it wasn't very successful) then I would suggest sticking to the land based activities. These include Highropes, Fencing, Climbing and the rather spectacular Giant Water Orbs. You've probably seen the orbs going down a hill on telly at some point, but these ones are in a 10ft pool, so you will quite literally be walking on water! You will basically become Jesus. Just without the whole water into wine ability.

The site also offers accommodation, so if you wanted to stay and experience all of the activities on offer, you can do. For somewhere that is close enough to Central London to offer a fun day away from the city, it offers such a wide variety of things to do. So if you are stuck for things to do over the summer, this needs some serious consideration.
