Although London was founded a long time ago, the city is still growing up. Does that mean the capital is getting long in the tooth and outdated? No, in fact, it means the exact opposite. London is growing with the times - in fact, rather than just keeping up to date, it is running far ahead into the future; perhaps even to an extent that is too fast for Londoners. There are over two hundred and thirty buildings in the pipeline, all of which are going to be twenty or more storeys tall. This will have a significant impact on London's beautiful skyline.

London is Growing Up! is an exhibition at the New London Architecture Centre that explores the city's ever rising tall buildings. Using models, images, and interactive displays, the exhibit will examine how these buildings will affect the landscape and the residents.

Open until the 12th June, admission is free, but also includes ticket events. Take a tour of Canary Wharf on the 24th May or a tour of the exhibit on the 31st May. Find out how the buildings get built at a seminar on the 29th May, or join a debate on the 2nd June, asking, Does London Need More Tall Buildings?
