After Danny Boyle's spectacularly directed opening ceremony which kicked off London 2012 in style, it is hard to believe that our home Olympic Games will be coming to an end this Sunday, 12 August.
It has definitely been an occasion to remember, with Team GB already surpassing their gold medal record for longer than a century.
If you are lucky enough to have bought tickets for the closing ceremony at the Olympic Stadium, London, the event will not be one to miss, with live music and performances taking place from 9pm.
Already, George Michael has been confirmed as taking part in the prestigious occasion, with others such as the Spice Girls and One Direction also rumoured to be handed a slot.
Of course, the most anticipated part will no doubt be the handover from London to the next Olympic Games host Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which will be in 2016.
If you are one of the billions of people that will have to make do with not being inside the stadium then don't worry, London will be full of outdoor screens which will be showing the event in all its glory.
There will also be pubs and bars in London if you would prefer an alcoholic drink whilst watching the conclusion of the last few weeks. A lot of atmosphere will be generated around the city as people celebrate a fantastic Olympics and of course, individual successes.
However, it is recommended that you arrive early to avoid disappointment, as heavy queues will be expected all over London.
